Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received visiting H.E. Muhaimin Iskandar, Vice President of the Internationale démocrate centriste-Centrist Democrat International (IDC-CDI), in Siem Reap provincial city on Nov. 18, on the sidelines of the IDC-CDI Executive Committee Meeting.
During the courtesy meeting, H.E. Muhaimin Iskandar, also Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), spoke highly of the long-standing relationship and cooperation in many fields between the two countries, and highlighted the great potential that the two countries can complement each other.
Besides, he noted the religious harmony in Cambodia, and praised the Kingdom for the smooth organisation of IDC-CDI Executive Committee Meeting, considering that the alliance of civilisations is an important mechanism for increasing influence in the region and the world.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet extended congratulations to H.E. Muhaimin Iskandar on his appointment as the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment of Indonesia. He expressed his satisfaction with the progress of Cambodia-Indonesia relations in many areas, including agriculture, trade, people-to-people exchanges, and security and defence, and encouraged the ministries and institutions of the two countries to continue working together as they still have room for strengthening and expansion of cooperation.
Cambodia is honoured to host the IDC-CDI Executive Committee Meeting, which provides an opportunity for enhanced relations and mutually beneficial cooperation, underlined the Cambodian Premier, adding that this week, in addition to the IDC-CDI meeting, the Kingdom will also host two other meetings: the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and related meetings, and the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP).
