The Prime Ministers of Cambodia and Malaysia have commended the steady progress of bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen cooperation in priority areas such as energy and the halal industry.
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Malaysian Prime Minister H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim held a bilateral meeting this afternoon in Kuala Lumpur, on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
During the meeting, both leaders emphasised the importance of deepening collaboration and encouraged the relevant ministries and institutions in both countries to continue comprehensive discussions to advance bilateral cooperation.
Samdech Thipadei expressed appreciation for Malaysia’s excellent organisation of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits and for the warm hospitality extended to the Cambodian delegation. He also reaffirmed Cambodia’s full support for Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.
In response, H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim thanked Samdech Thipadei for attending the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur.
