Social protection systems, the informal economy, and agriculture have been officially confirmed as topics for the upcoming joint congress of the Senate and the National Assembly, scheduled for early next month.
The committee to lead the organisation of the joint congress, chaired by Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, confirmed the topics following its meeting on May 26.
As initially planned, Cambodia’s first-ever joint congress—an unprecedented event in the country’s legislative history—will take place on Jun. 2-3 at the National Assembly Palace in Phnom Penh.
The primary objective of the congress is to serve as a platform for raising awareness of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s achievements while fostering in-depth discussions on the key topics identified.
