The Japan-Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship League (JCPFL) has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening and expanding bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
This pledge was made by Ms. OBUCHI Yuko, Member of the House of Representatives of Japan and President of the JCPFL, during a breakfast reception held this morning in Tokyo with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Ms. OBUCHI highlighted the legacy of her father, a former Prime Minister of Japan, who played a significant role in strengthening Japan-Cambodia cooperation, particularly in the field of mine clearance.
She also commended Cambodia for its rapid development and progress across various sectors in recent years.
In reply, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his sincere appreciation to the JCPFL for its longstanding efforts in fostering Cambodia-Japan friendship. He also recalled his numerous meetings with the League, emphasising the importance of their continued collaboration.
