Cambodian and Swiss Foreign Ministries Hold 4th Political Consultations


The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Swiss Confederation convened the Fourth Round of Political Consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs on June 18 in Switzerland to further deepen their bilateral relations and cooperation.

H.E. KHUON Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) of the Kingdom of Cambodia, co-chaired the meeting with H.E. Ambassador Heinrich Schellenberg, Assistant State Secretary for Asia Pacific of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation.

According to the MFAIC, both sides underscored the significance of the political consultation mechanism, as well as the value of future high-level engagements in further strengthening and expanding the close relations and multifaceted cooperation, particularly in political, economic and developmental spheres of common interests.

The Co-chairs also exchanged views on major regional and international issues of mutual concern and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering peace, stability, and a rule-based international order, added the source.
