The Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) vows to promote investment potential in Cambodia by sharing regular updates about the investment climate in the country among the Japanese business community.
Mr. Takayoshi Negoro, OCCI Director of International Cooperation, highlighted his commitment in a meeting with H.E. Suon Sophal, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), in Osaka, Japan, on July 8.
The Director lauded the endeavour of the Royal Government of Cambodia to support and facilitate Japan’s investments in the country and requested continuous sharing of Cambodia’s progress of socio-economic development as well as investment opportunities.
H.E. Suon Sophal appreciated the support and was committed to sharing regular investment updates from Cambodia with OCCI.
He briefed the OCCI side about Cambodia’s political stability, positive macroeconomic situation, dynamic young labour force, the government’s support for the private sector, and attractive and favourable investment policies.
The Deputy Secretary General also invited the OCCI team to visit Cambodia and be exposed to the investment reality on the ground.
