Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, Permanent Vice President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), led a delegation this morning to pay tribute to Sergeant Chap They, a soldier who was killed while defending Cambodia’s territorial integrity.
Dr. Chanmony, who also serves as the Vice President of the Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) and Commissioner General of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia, attended the funeral to offer prayers and condolences. She provided the family of the fallen soldier with financial support, as well as food supplies and household necessities.
Sergeant Chap They, 55, was a soldier in Battalion No. 3 of Intervention Division No. 3.
His funeral rites are being held by his family in Beng village, Dan Run commune, Sotr Nikum district, Siem Reap province.
