A delegation from Chilbo Industry Co., Ltd. has visited Cambodia to explore opportunities for expanding its business operations.
The delegation, accompanied by its Cambodian subsidiary CAM Chilbo Electric Power Co., Ltd., was received this morning by H.E. Thor Chetha, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, at the ministry.
H.E. Thor Chetha warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation to Chilbo Industry Co., Ltd. for its investment in Cambodia’s energy sector, which has contributed to national economic growth and created jobs for local people.
The minister also encouraged the Korean company to consider expanding its investment into water resources and meteorology, to help strengthen Cambodia’s water security in response to global climate change, in line with the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy–Phase 1.
On the occasion, Chilbo Industry Co., Ltd. donated five tonnes of milled rice in support of the ministry’s humanitarian activities.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), CAM Chilbo Electric Power Co., Ltd., established in 2001, has been actively involved in energy development projects in Cambodia with both public institutions and private companies, including hydropower plants, thermal power, and renewable energy.
