Cambodian Tourism Minister H.E. Huot Hak has urged Japan’s MS Tourist Ltd. to increase the flow of Japanese tourists to Cambodia, highlighting the sector’s growth and ongoing improvements.
The appeal was made during a meeting with the company’s representative, Mr. Tomoji Abe, on Sept. 25 evening in Japan. The minister is on a working visit there to attend the Japan Travel Exhibition 2025 and a Ministerial Tourism Roundtable.
H.E. Huot Hak acknowledged the firm’s significant role in promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and thanked them for their longstanding contributions. He assured the company that its feedback is being used to shape ministry policies aimed at enhancing the experience for international visitors.
The push for more visitors comes as Cambodia welcomed over 73,000 Japanese tourists in the first eight months of 2025. The ministry is collaborating with the private sector to build on this figure.
