Thai forces launched attacks this morning on civilian residences in Chey Chumneas village, Thmar Da commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province.
According to a press release from the Ministry of National Defence, this civilian area lies within Military Region 5.
The brutal and inhumane attack occurred at 9:01 a.m., when Thai troops fired an artillery shell into the village. At 9:08 a.m., they continued by firing two rounds from a DK machine gun and deploying bombard drones.
Thai forces are expanding their operations deeper into Cambodian territory, increasingly targeting civilian locations, including homes and schools.
