His Majesty the King Highlights National Solidarity as Pillar of Cambodia’s Peace, Progress and Prosperity

His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has underscored the importance of national solidarity in Cambodia’s peace, development and progress, attributing the Kingdom’s achievements to the strong unity of the Cambodian people under lasting peace.

His Majesty made the remarks during the official inauguration ceremony of the Solidarity Palace, the new building of the Senate, on Friday morning.

The King said it was an undeniable truth that under the visionary, wise and capable leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister and current President of the Senate, Cambodia successfully implemented the “Win-Win Policy”, followed by the “Triangle Strategy”, “Rectangular Strategy” and deep and comprehensive reforms across all sectors.

These policies, he said, have contributed to Cambodia’s continued socio-economic development and progress, bringing about significant changes in the Kingdom’s appearance.

All these achievements have been made possible because Cambodians have maintained great national solidarity as one united force under the protection of strong and long-lasting peace, His Majesty stressed.

He noted that sustained high economic growth for nearly two decades, unprecedented in Cambodia’s modern history, has continued to bear fruit, resulting in numerous remarkable achievements.

Regarding the Senate’s fifth mandate under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the monarch said it had brought further significant achievements in protecting the Nation, Religion and King, strengthening national unity, safeguarding national sovereignty and preserving Cambodia’s precious Angkor civilisation.

On the occasion, His Majesty expressed his profound gratitude to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, also Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, for his leadership and support in all circumstances.

His Majesty highlighted Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s leadership and solidarity with the Cambodian people, particularly national armed forces personnel at all levels and those stationed at command posts along the Cambodian border, during periods when the country faced serious violations and threats from abroad.

The King said Samdech Techo Hun Sen had also contributed to the Royal Government’s efforts by providing strategic advice, encouragement and comprehensive support, day and night, with the ultimate objective of safeguarding Cambodia’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty.

His Majesty also expressed his profound admiration and appreciation for the bravery of Cambodian soldiers who had fought courageously on all battlefields in the cause of defending the nation, territory and people.

At the same time, the King praised the Cambodian people across the country for joining together in strong national solidarity and maintaining a high degree of national unity under the wise and outstanding leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia, led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.

His Majesty noted that the Royal Government had been leading efforts on all fronts – political, diplomatic, military and legal – to defend the nation, national sovereignty, territorial integrity and the Cambodian people.
