DPM Sun Chanthol Receives JICA Delegation


H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) received here on Oct. 2 a courtesy call and held a working meeting with Mr. Yuho Hayakawa, Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The meeting focused on the strengthening and expansion of development cooperation across all sectors, particularly in physical infrastructure construction, logistics system development, and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) from Japan.

In the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister extended a warm welcome and highly appreciated the excellent cooperation between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of Japan through JICA, which has contributed significantly to the socio-economic recovery and development of Cambodia in all fields.

H.E. Sun Chanthol reiterated the CDC’s commitment to providing all necessary coordination and support to all Japanese investors seeking and expanding business opportunities in Cambodia.

For his part, the JICA Vice President expressed his admiration for Cambodia’s rapid development and reaffirmed JICA’s strong commitment to continuing close cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions to ensure that all cooperation projects achieve successful and fruitful results.
