Cambodia and Vietnam have agreed to sign a key implementation plan to renovate and beautify Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monuments across the Kingdom, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and comprehensive cooperation.
Samdech Kitti Sangahapundit Men Sam An, President of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodian Motherland (SFDCM), announced the agreement while co-chairing the 9th meeting between the SFDCM and Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defence in Hanoi on Friday.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed past cooperation achievements, discussed future directions, and signed the 9th Protocol on the Implementation of the Construction, Renovation, and Beautification Project for the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monuments in Cambodia.
The protocol was signed by H.E. Hei Bavy, Vice President of the SFDCM, and H.E. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Minister of National Defence of Vietnam.
Samdech Men Sam An emphasised that the outcome of the meeting significantly contributes to deepening ties between the two neighbouring nations across multiple sectors, including diplomacy, trade, and defence. She noted that bilateral relations continue to expand year after year, guided by the principle of “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability.”
