Angkor Entrance Pass Sales Earn US$74 Million in First Nine Months


Cambodia earned US$74 million in first nine months of this year, a13 percent decline compared to the same period last year, according to a report of the Angkor Enterprise.

The report, issued on Oct. 1, stated that from January to September, the entrance passes were sold to 1.6 million foreign tourists, declining at 12 percent over the same period last year.

In September alone, the passes were sold to 110,677 foreign tourists and generated US$4.8 million as income, it added.

Of the total income, the Angkor Enterprise donated about US$3.3 million to Kuntha Bopha – a leading children’s hospital of Cambodia.
