Newly appointed Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Mikami Masahiro has affirmed to help Cambodia in various sectors including elections.
The confirmation was made during his meeting with H.E. Sik Bun Hok, President of the National Election Committee (NEC) lately here in Phnom Penh.
The Japanese ambassador spoke highly of Cambodia’s rapid growth since his first visit to Cambodia in 2002.
From his end, the NEC president thanked the ambassador for the continuation of assistance to his committee, contributing essentially to democracy in Cambodia.
Japan began its support to Cambodia’s elections since 1992 and the confirmed assistance will aim at the Kingdom’s elections in 2022 and 2023.
