No New COVID-19 Case in Cambodia for Four Consecutive Days


Cambodia has reported no new infection case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for four days in a row.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning, zero new case was detected, but there are two more recovered cases.

The two recovered patients are an 80-year-old French tourist in Preah Sihanouk province and 61-year-old French national in Phnom Penh capital, it pointed out.

The total recovered cases rose therefore to 98, or 80.33 percent of the total confirmed cases, said the same source, adding there are one Chinese, 4 British, one Belgian, 37 French, 12 Malaysians, 2 Indonesians and 41 Cambodians.

As of 07:00 am on April 16, 2020, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases remains at 122, including 51 Cambodians, 40 French, 13 Malaysians, 5 British, 3 Chinese, 3 Vietnamese, 2 Americans, 2 Indonesians, 2 Canadians, and one Belgian.

Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has now hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
