The Kingdom of Cambodia has asked World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) to further promote their good cooperation.
The request was made by H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism and President of National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, during his meeting with visiting WTF President Dr. Chungwon Choue here in Phnom Penh late last week.
The minister thanked Mr. Chungwon Choue’s as well as the federation for its contribution to developing Cambodia’s Taekwondo sector since 1995.
He also encouraged the World Taekwondo Federation to provide technical support and training materials to prepare Cambodia for the upcoming Olympic Games 2020 in Japan.
From his side, Dr. Chungwon Choue spoke highly of Cambodia’s sports sector, especially Taekwondo and reiterated his commitment on behalf of his federation to further develop Taekwondo of Cambodia.
He was positive that Cambodian Taekwondo athletes will win gold medals at the Olympic Games.
Mr. Chungwon Choue arrived in Cambodia on Nov. 8 for four-day working visit to the Kingdom.
