Cambodian PM Receives President of Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association


Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this morning received visiting President of Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

According to H.E. Kao Kim Hourn, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, in the courtesy meeting H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh congratulated Cambodia on its achievements and development in different sectors including the successful efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic and on its post-pandemic economic recovery.

H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh also said the friendship associations of both nations have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand more activities.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed welcome to the visit of H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh and encouraged the two associations to continue their key roles and good relations.

The Cambodian Premier also shared his satisfaction with the growing trade exchange and other existing cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also asked the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association to help facilitate poor Cambodian people who seek medical services in Vietnam.

Cambodia and Vietnam mark this year the 55th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
