ASEAN Summits: Seven Meetings to be Held Today


There are in total seven important meetings to be held on Nov. 10, 2022, said Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) H.E. Kung Phoak at a press briefing this morning.

They are the 25th ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Council Meeting, and the 31st ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC) Meeting to be chaired by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MFAIC, he pointed out.

According to H.E. Kung Phoak, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers this morning will review and finalise the Timor-Leste’s application for ASEAN membership.

They will also be granted a Royal Audience by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of Cambodia, and join the signing ceremonies of the Instrument of Accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) by Ukraine and Spain.

Ukraine and Spain will be the 50 and 51 members of the TAC.

In the afternoon, there will be ASEAN Leaders’ Interface with Representatives of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), ASEAN Leaders’ Interface with Representatives of ASEAN Youth, and ASEAN Leaders’ Interface with Representatives of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) to be chaired by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chair of ASEAN.
