Cambodia-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to Boost Mutual Growth


Cambodia-United Arab Emirate (UAE) Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) once in place will further boost mutual economic growth.

The insight was highlighted by Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak in a bilateral meeting with Emirati Minister of State for Foreign Trade H.E. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, to review the CEPA progress on the side-line of the World Economic Forum 2023 that he attended in Davos-Closter, Switzerland on Jan. 18, 2023.

The CEPA will diversify markets, open more markets for goods and services, increase investment flows, create jobs, deepen cooperation in various sectors, and enrich mutual benefits, added the Cambodian minister.

On the occasion, H.E. Pan Sorasak highlighted the positive results of the first round of talks in the UAE in October 2022, and the progress of the second round of talks on opening markets for goods and services in December 2022 in Cambodia.

The third round of talks will be concluded in the UAE in February 2023.
