UNICEF Delivers More COVID-19 Vaccines to Cambodia

Nearly 500,000 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines, donated by the Governments of Slovakia and Finland, have been delivered to Cambodia via UNICEF early this week.

H.E. Dr. Youk Sambath, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health, and representatives of UNICEF Cambodia and other relevant parties, welcomed the vaccines’ arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport.

UNICEF reaffirmed its continued support to Cambodia’s ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and efforts to keep people healthy.

UNICEF also re-appealed to people to get the booster doses and stick to the health safety measures. “Vaccines keep us safe and healthy. If you haven’t already, please consider getting your booster vaccine and continue to practice healthy habits such as wearing masks, physical distancing, and hand hygiene,” it said.
