Cambodia to Have ‘Khmer Village’ in Japan

The Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training and a delegation of Kojima Holdings of Japan have discussed the progress of the establishment of ‘Khmer Village’ in Japan.

The Minister, H.E. Heng Sour, discussed the initiative with the Japanese delegation led by Mr. Takeshi Okami, Managing Director of Kojima Holdings, at the ministry on April 22.

Mr. Takeshi Okami has reassured the minister that his team will make the Khmer Village an attractive one to gain traction from foreign tourists, Japanese, as well as Cambodians who are working and studying in Japan.

H.E. Heng Sour thanked the Japanese delegation for their interest and commitment to introducing the Khmer Village, which will be located in Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The planned Khmer Village will feature Khmer jewellery, food, coffee shops, agricultural crops, and beyond.

As planned, the Khmer village will be opened in June this year.
