Cambodia and Ukraine have discussed and exchanged views about the possibility of reaching a bilateral agreement on mutual investment promotion and protection.
The discussion was held here on Oct. 30 between H.E. SAR Senera, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodian Investment Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and visiting H.E. Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine, accompanied by H.E. Gaman Oleksandr, Ambassador of Ukraine to Cambodia.
On the occasion, H.E. SAR Senera highlighted Cambodia’s law on investment and related regulations, which are open for all foreign investors to invest in all domains in Cambodia with assurance, protection and many incentives.
He also mentioned about Cambodia’s peace and political stability and access to broad markets such as GMS market of some 330 million population, ASEAN market of about 671 million population, and RCEP market with up to 2.3 billion population.
For his part, H.E. Taras Kachka thanked the Cambodian side about the information, and highlighted Ukraine’s potential in agricultural technology sector, especially fertilizers and animal feed.
