Cambodian Tourism Minister Urges All Nippon Airways to Restore Direct Flights

Cambodian Minister of Tourism, His Excellency Huot Hak, has formally called on All Nippon Airways (ANA) to resume direct flight services between Japan and Cambodia.

The request was made during a recent bilateral meeting with ANA representative Mr. Eiji Yamakita, held on the sidelines of the Japan Tourism Expo 2025 and the Tourism Ministers’ Roundtable Meeting in Nagoya.

Minister Huot Hak extended his profound gratitude to ANA for its longstanding and significant contributions to the growth of Cambodia’s tourism industry. He highlighted the airline’s pivotal role in promoting the Kingdom’s tourism potential and transporting a substantial number of Japanese and international visitors.

In his appeal, the Minister underscored the compelling reasons for the route’s reinstatement. He pointed to Cambodia’s robust tourism prospects, its stable peace and security, and the advanced operational capabilities of the new Techo International Airport as key factors favoring the resumption of direct air links.
