The National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia is going to host the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting (ASEP), along with the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in 2020.
The information was shared here this morning by H.E. Chheang Vun, Chairman of NA Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Propaganda, and Information, while chairing a meeting with the committee’s members and officials of the NA General Secretariat.
The Cambodian NA is now compiling documents and drawing experience from former hosts of ASEP, according to a news release of NA.
Hosted by Cambodia, ASEM 2020 will be joined by delegates from the 51 ASEM members countries, ASEAN Secretariat and the European Union.
ASEM was established in 1996. It is a high-level political dialogue held every two years to improve relations between participating states.
