H.E. Neak Oknha Seang Nam Recognised for Contribution to Cambodia-Japan Friendship Promotion


H.E. Neak Oknha Seang Nam, Member of the National Assembly of Cambodia, has been awarded with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in recognition of his contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting friendship between Japan and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The decoration was conferred on H.E. Neak Oknha Seang Nam by Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia H.E. Mikami Masahiro in a ceremony held in Siem Reap provincial city yesterday evening.

H.E. Hun Many, Member of the National Assembly of Cambodia, visiting H.E. Kazuyuki Nakane, Member of the House of Representatives and former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and H.E. Tea Seiha, Governor of Siem Reap province, as well as members of foreign consulates in Siem Reap province were also present on the occasion.

H.E. Neak Oknha Seang Nam is among the 136 recipients of the 2019 Autumn Conferment of Decorations announced by the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan on Nov. 3.

The decorations are bestowed upon individuals of merit in recognition of their national or public services, and in honor of their distinguished accomplishments in various areas in society.
