COVID-19: Two More Recovered Cases Reported


Cambodia’s Ministry of Health this morning announced two more recovered cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total recovered cases to 105 while the active cases remain at only 17.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, the new recovered cases were a 34-year-old Vietnamese tourist in Phnom Penh and a 12-year-old boy in Siem Reap province. They have been both allowed to be discharged.

Meanwhile, Cambodia reported no new infection case of COVID-19 for seven days in a row, therefore the tally remains at 122.

As of 07:00 am on April 19, 2020, Cambodia has recorded in total 122 COVID-19 confirmed cases, including 51 Cambodians, 40 French, 13 Malaysians, 5 British, 3 Chinese, 3 Vietnamese, 2 Americans, 2 Indonesians, 2 Canadians, and one Belgian.

The 105 recovered cases included one Chinese, 5 British, 2 Americans, one Belgian, 37 French, one Canadian, 12 Malaysians, 2 Indonesians, one Vietnamese and 43 Cambodians.

Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has now hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
