Phnom Penh , Nov. 13 – Cambodia exported 434,807 tons of rice for the first 10 months in 2018, a decrease of 13.2 per cent compared to 492,115 tons in 2017, according to a report issued by Secretariat of One Window Service for Rice Export Formality (SOWS-REF) dated on 2 November 2018.
China, the biggest Cambodian rice importer, imported more than 110,000 tons, followed by France more than 60,000 tons and Malaysia 30,000 tons.
In 2017, Cambodia has exported more than 630,000 tons of rice to the foreign market, while the Royal Government plans to increase rice exports to one million tons per year.
