Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has encouraged the public to join hands in promoting Cambodian cuisine and food to tourists and foreign guests.
Addressing to the graduation ceremony of 1,356 medical students of the University of Puthisastra here this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen called on all stakeholders, especially the government officials to help promote local food and cuisine.
Num Banh Chok, Samlor Korko, and Amok Khmer … are the Cambodian typical dishes to be introduced to all foreign guests, he underlined.
“I appeal to all our ministers when they receive international guests, even though at the ministerial or deputy prime ministerial level, they should introduce them Khmer food, he said.
According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, this move will help boost the interaction of local production chain between vegetable, meat, rice and other local products on the market to generate more business activities.
